Architectural Gilding Indoors. After burnishing with an agate stone to make the gold look like solid gold. Burnishing is only possible with the water gilding technique.

Painting Cleaning-Restoration

 

In the process of cleaning and removing old varnish that yellowed with time - 19th century French painting.


The right side of the painting now reveals its original  colors. The left side is still uncleaned.
